The existing Ford vehicle comes with the Co-Pilot 360 driver-assistance package which has been upgraded in the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. The Hands-Free technology will be available on the roads of the USA and Canada.

What’s New In Ford Co-pilot 360 With The Introduction Of Hands-free?

The all-new hands-free system will be launched by Ford in its Electric Vehicle in the year 2020. It has the ability where you can take your hands off the wheel for 100,000 miles on the highway.

The Co-Pilot is known as the driver-assistance technology which will be available on the entire 2021 line-up of Mach-E. However, this technology has received significant upgrades which include Co-Pilot 360 have a driver-facing camera that ensures the driver’s head and eyes in the proper position and they have attention when their hands are off.

Co-Pilot has two new advancements such as road edge detection which predicts the edges of a path with obvious lines or a street with a reasonable edge, for example, grass or mud. The Blind Spot Assist will inform the vehicle by poking the steering system to make them aware of the unsafe action to save them from uncertainties.

The Active Park assist 2.9 allows the vehicle to self-park in perpendicular and parallel spots. It has another improved Stop and Go technology which is the predecessor of adaptive cruise control which allows the car to sit ideal for 30 seconds during the full red light and it automatically picks back without disturbing the driver. This technology pays attention to oncoming traffic and applying brakes if someone comes in the way.

The active safety features have been improved and advanced which includes lane-keeping system which pairs with high-beam headlamps, pre-collision system with automatic emergency braking, rear-view camera, reverse brake assist, and reverse sensing system. The Co-Pilot 360 2.0 has been standard on the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E models.

Who Are The Major Competitors Of Ford’s Hands-free Driving Technology?

Ford is facing major competition from Cadillac’s Super Cruise which has been announced prior in the year of 2017. General Motors has announced the 2021 Cadillac CT4, CT5, and Escalade model will be part of this system. The system has an addition of automated lane changing which will run on the roads of the USA and Canada for 200,000 miles.
